We are pleased to introduce our newest maki-e design, Infinity. While appearing simple, this is an extremly difficult pen to do. Genuine abalone shell is two sided with one side ( bottom ) being dull , while the other ( top ) being irridescent. In order to make this pen, each piece of shell must be placed by hand, so the top side is always up. These pens were produced in a very limited ten pen edition, each being signed and numbered by 2nd generation maki-e master, Katsunobu Nishihara. We previewed the edition at the DC Super Pen Show last weekend and soldout half the edition ! The edition was produced on a bandless Stipula Etruria fountain pen with a 14k medium nib and cartridge converter fill. Also, each pen with come with original factory boxes and warranty.
